Here are the progress works of a piece not yet titled and undecided on the format ~ I hope to have a scan and better quality image of the completed piece very soon.
Planning and drawing:~
Establishing the colour palette ~ the reference model was as dark brunette but this is loosly based on what I was feeling whilst in progress. I needed some tests and a biopsy, so felt quite drawn to the feeling of falling, trying not to slip and a need for soft, safe, reassuring colours around me.
Not sure it was the best idea to do so much work before creating her face, as it would have had to be rejected if it went wrong, but I think it turned out just right - usually I would add lots of black lashed but this seemed to work much better.
I'm not yet sure if it looks better as a landscape or portrait, so for now I'll show both, along with a detail of the main composition. Prints will be available soon and a proper scan :)
